Speaking at the function, the Home Minister stressed the importance of the Indian Police benchmarking itself with the highest standards of ethical and professional standards. The road to reform cannot be a lone journey by the police alone and a larger campaign is called for, with the full support of all stakeholders including the government machinery, the political leadership as well as civil society, the Minister said.
