Be Part of the Police Reform Movement

The Police Institute is a professional institution and a resource centre for research, capacity building and leadership development, dedicated to promote evidence-based policing and a culture of excellence within the rank and file of the police. The Institute focuses on the all-round reform of the Indian police at different levels, through research and learning strategies that combines theory with practice. A vibrant platform for professional interaction to share ideas, experiences and best practices, the Institute aims to equip police officers with skills to cope with complex problems of a changing world and to develop the capacity for ethically informed leadership.

State Level Chapters

The issues confronting the police differ from State to State. Even the issues having trans-national ramifications have local nuances and thus the police will need to devise local solutions. Today’s complex challenges make it imperative that the police leadership in each State nurtures a habit of brainstorming and intellectual discourse to collectively seek innovative answers. To encourage and institutionalize this, State Level Chapters of the Indian Police Institute will enable police officers at the State and regional levels to meet and engage in professional interaction and experience sharing.
